More than 100 participants from all over Europe took part in the varied and exciting Smart Systems Integration 2022 in Grenoble, France. Highly interesting keynotes, a total of almost 70 speakers (20 speakers online) spread over five tracks, 15 technical sessions, a poster and exhibitor pitch session dealt intensively with Smart Systems along the entire value chain. The participants took advantage of the numerous insights, best practices, lectures, keynotes and demonstrations to network intensively afterwards. Last but not least, the Thomas Gessner Award was presented for the third time during the event.
We would like to thank all the speakers and exhibitors for their valuable input, all the session chairs for moderating the sessions, our media partners for distributing the event information and last but not least all the conference participants for their great interest.
The conference covered topics along the whole value chain starting from MEMS/ NEMS, photonics, microfluidics or printed technologies for sensor manufacturing up to complete smart systems with embedded intelligence and to different application scenarios.
Digitisation is not only increasingly entering our lifes, it is a real game changer! There will not only advances in individual components and subsystems necessary, especially connectivity and implementation of intelligence “at the edge” integrated in smart modules and systems will be the key. To be successful in future, interdisciplinary approaches are required more than ever.
The conference therefore covered all aspects and technology readiness levels. Key enablers and key technologies were addressed as well as new design concepts and embedded intelligence and specific application domains (mobility, energy, industry, agrifood, biomedical applications and healthy living).
Beyond research topics, EPoSS organised sessions on strategy and business creation as well as on impact resulting from European funded projects in the domain.
In an engaging and compact format, the conference provided a unique and valuable opportunity to interact with the stakeholders of the Smart Systems community along the value chain by means of technical sessions, strategy panels and exhibition booths.
Research and technology organisations, small and mid-sized enterprises and industry shared their latest approaches and the results.
The presentations and recordings are available to the conference participants over the sharepoint.
