Joint European Workshop on Smart Systems Integration in Energy Applications

This workshop is the initial joint activity of EPoSS and Pôle S2E2 to bring together technical experts from both communities with the aim to establish a strategic cooperation in the field of Smart Systems Integration in energy applications.

The main objectives of this workshop are to:

• exchange knowledge about both organisations and their members
• spark ideas for common innovations and European projects
• enable cooperation in future R&D projects

The workshop will feature inspiring presentations and an interactive part where EPoSS and S2E2 members will jointly draft R&D&I project ideas. With this workshop, you will gain insight into Smart Systems applications in the energy sector and concepts for new research projects.

S2E2 is an Energy Innovation cluster which aims to favour competitiveness and stimulates collaboration between companies and laboratories in the form of R&D projects, whose spin-offs are growth drivers for these companies on the market. S2E2 gathers over 250 members: companies, SMEs and groups, research and training organisations, all of them invested in the fields of intelligent electricity technologies. Both platforms see a huge added value in a closer cooperation, most specifically in the domains of energy infrastructures, smart grids and the integration of renewable energies as well as electronic components, embedded systems and micro- and nanoelectronics.
