Workshop "Collaborative Enterprising Ecosystems and Business Models for Smart Manufacturing"

23 June 2016, 10:00-12:00

Session chair: Hans Schaffers, Saxion University of Applied Sciences

Central theme is how to develop and implement business models for networks of collaborative enterprises pursuing collaborative value creation. The workshop confronts actual business collaboration practices in manufacturing networks with conceptual business model development in order to identify obstacles and recommendations in developing practically applicable business models for net-centric organisations in smart manufacturing. Aim is to understand how to close the gap between strategic approaches and real-world process innovations in implementing network-centric concepts of collaboration. The workshop addresses the following issues:

  • Internet of Things implications for collaborative production ecosystems.  Experiences from regional manufacturing ecosystems. Discussion of AIOTI experiences.
  • Smart products’ requirements for collaborative networked enterprising and net-centric arrangements. Case example cooperative networked maintenance based on AR/VR.
  • State of the art and best practices in collaborative enterprising networks. Examples from current projects.
  • Approaches to the design and development of business models tailored to context-aware collaborative networked enterprising, and how to establish collaborative culture and capabilities aimed at network-centric environments.
  • How to support SMEs and OEMs and other stakeholders in net-centric ecosystems in developing skills and capabilities for collaborative networked enterprising.
