The Joint International Master in Smart Systems Integration covers all important aspects of Smart Systems Integration. It is conducted over four semesters, where the students spend one semester at each of the three partner universities. The fourth semester is devoted to the master thesis in the framework of an industry project. The students are looking for hosting organisations for the period of April-November 2016. EPoSS members are particularly invited to participate as hosts.

The curent cohort comprises 12 students from 10 countries (Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Greece, Hungary, Malaysia, Pakistan, Serbia, Spain, and Vietnam).

Joint International Master in Smart Systems Integration

The study programme is developed to cover all important aspects of Smart Systems Integration in all its diversity. It is conducted over four semesters, where the students will spend one semester at each of the three partner universities, taking full advantage of the specialisations of each university.

The students have their first semester at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, the second semester will be at Vestfold University College in Norway and the last third semester will be at Budapest University of Technology and Economics in Hungary.

The fourth semester is devoted to the master thesis, where the student group will be split in three parts, performing the master thesis work in one of the three institutions or preferably with collaborating partners EPoSS and NCE-MNT. 

Students undertaking the Joint International Master in Smart Systems Integration will have acquired expertise in microsystems manufacturing and design, sensors and actuators, packaging and testing as electronics surrounding microsystems. The courses delivered in this Master of Science are given in the figure below describing the educational model of the programme.
