Call for proposals for Knowledge-Based Bio-Economy (KBBE)

The European Commission has published the Knowledge-Based Bio-Economy (KBBE) call for proposals.

The KBBE addresses specific challenges such as food quality, animal diseases and welfare, sustainability of bio-resources and environment-friendly agricultural, aquaculture and fishery production.

The single-stage call for proposals is broken down into three activities and 45 topics. It focuses on:

  • Sustainable production and management of biological resources from land, forest and aquatic environments
  • Fork to farm: food (including sea-food), health and well being
  • Life science, biotechnology and biochemistry for sustainable non-food products and processes.

Budget: € 341 350 000
