10 years of Smart Systems Integration: Program highlights for anniversary

The conference Smart Systems Integration with its accompanying exhibition is celebrating its 10th anniversary. SSI is part of the activities of EPoSS. SSI 2016 will take place in Munich, 9-10 March 2015.

On the jubilee event experienced speakers from well-known companies and research institutes present in Munich from 9 – 10 March 2016 innovations, applications and trends on the following key topics:

  • System integration and packaging
  • Test and Reliability
  • Smart medtech systems
  • Hardware for the Internet of Things
  • Printed / stretchable and flexible electronics

Conference participants have the opportunity to inform themselves about innovative smart systems, their manufacturing technologies as well as the international research of smart technologies and materials.
The varied conference program includes five high-profile keynotes, more than 50 presentations, two poster sessions as well as two special sessions of EPoSS.
A special highlight is the panel discussion on the topic "Printed/
stretchable and flexible electronics” on the second day.

The exhibition as a presentation platform for the industry

The conference is accompanied by an exhibition where numerus R&D institutes as well as national and international manufacturer of components and systems in the sectors microsystems and nanotechnology, microelectronics, sensor technology and wireless communication present their products and solutions.
For the first time, the exhibition offers also young companies the opportunity to present themselves on the joint stand "start up" and to show innovative products and services to a professional audience.

Visitors and congress participants may also look forward to more highlights of the anniversary event: The Wall of Fame of the previous Best Paper and Best Poster Award winners and the Job-Board, which offers the opportunity to learn about current job offers of the exhibiting and cooperating companies and research institutions.

The social program - time for networking and innovation

The event will be completed by a pre-conference-field-trip one day before the congress. The guided tour to the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Microsystems and Solid State Technologies EMFT in Munich includes selected stations, demonstrators and exhibits as well as short presentations on the five main topics sensor materials, sensor and actuators, microdosage systems, flexible systems and design and test.
The traditional conference dinner takes place in the restaurant 181 on top of the Olympic Tower in the Olympia Park Munich. This event offers the opportunity for intensive talks in an exclusive surrounding with a fascinating view.
