Celtic-Plus "Smart Connected World" Call for Proposals 2012

Celtic-Plus is dedicated to realising the vision of a smart connected world through an industry-driven R&D programme There will be two calls in 2012 (in spring and in autumn), with an expected total project volume of around 100 million euro. The funding is orchestrated via the Celtic-Plus programme and provided by EUREKA Public Authorities.

Celtic-Plus calls for proposals are defined on an annual basis. Every year there will be two submission possibilities for fully defined project proposals.

Submission deadlines (revised) ( see also detailed call calendar):

  • Spring Call (2012-1):    21 May 2012 (new)
  • Autumn Call (2012-2):  15 October 2012 (new)

The new fast call process will now only consider one single, full proposal phase; no Proposal Outline (PO) phase is required any longer.
One important aspect to speed up the call and funding decision process is that each project participant must submit a national funding application in parallel to the proposal submission. Without such national applications no label will be assigned.
As compensation to the missing proposal outline phase Celtic offers the opportunity to submit a short proposal abstract (including a short project outline, intended consortium partners/ countries) for a first check to the Celtic Office.
Well evaluated but not labeled proposals may get a second chance by submitting refined proposals at the second call deadline about six months later.

More details about the acceptable research items and the call requirements are indicated at our call page.
