EuWoRel 2026

The 14th „European Expert Workshop on Reliability of Electronics and Smart Systems“ will take place on Oct. 14 (11 am) to Thu, Oct. 15 (3 pm), 2026, in Berlin at Fraunhofer-Forum.

Since 2013, EuWoRel has been the annual forum for addressing the concerns of reliability, robustness, and functional safety of new products and technologies in the field of electronics and smart systems. It makes further research requirements on reliability methodology clearly visible, not only to the electronics and smart systems community but also to the representatives of funding agencies at national and European levels. In addition, EuWoRel is a great opportunity for showcasing recent results, for creating new project ideas and forming new consortia for collaborative research.

Agenda Outline

The workshop will cover the following subjects:

Day 1 (11 am – 6 pm)

Engineering papers on New Reliability Methodologies / Techniques / Approaches
Reliability tests and Failure analysis
Virtual techniques based on numerical simulation and for meta modeling
PHM by physics of degradation & data driven approaches with AI evaluation
About 20 talks will present the latest results of projects as well as new requirements for new methodology research.

Day 2 (9 am – 3 pm)

Results of Ongoing and New EU Projects E2PACKMAN, Moore4POWER, …
Strategy, Roadmaps, and EU Calls:
Electronic Components & Systems Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda
Information on the Call from CHIPS-JU and insights into the EU Chips Act 2.0
Interactive Group Discussion
Our input to these programs: Research priorities on the reliability methodology
Networking & Brokerage – new ideas
