Please note that:
- The full conference programme is now available.
- The EPoSS Working Group Sessions on 12 October 2015 are open to all registered participants.
- EPoSS supports students and young researchers, and hence participation in the EPoSS part of the event is not only free of charge for EPoSS
members, EXPRESS (associated) partners and speakers, but also for students, and for young
researchers under 35.
- Online Registration will close on 5 October 2015. Since there is a limited number of seats available, we recommend to register immediately.

The EPoSS Working Group Sessions will take place on the first day of the Joint Event "EPoSS Annual Forum 2015 & MNBS 2015", in the afternoon of 12 October 2015. The Working Group Sessions are open to all registered participants.

This dedicated support for students and young researchers is part of a series of support activities for the coming generation of Smart Systems engineers.
| Join EPoSS@ICT 2015: 3 Interactive Networking Sessions & Booth in EC Village
ICT 2015 will be held in Lisbon, 20-22 October 2015. EPoSS and its strategy project EXPRESS co-organise three interactive networking sessions on Smart Systems Integration on 22 October 2015, and have a booth in the EC Village.
|SSI 2016: Call for Papers open until 5 October 2015
The Call for Papers for SSI 2016, International Conference and Exhibition on Integration Issues of Miniaturized Systems, is open until 5 October 2015. SSI 2016 is part of the activities of EPoSS. The event will take place in Munich, 9-10 March 2016.
|Draft versions of Horizon 2020 work programmes for 2016-2017 now available
These documents are being made public just before the adoption process of the work programme to provide potential participants with the currently expected main lines of the work programme 2016-2017. They are not yet endorsed by the Commission and they do not in any way prejudge the final decision of the Commission.
|Augmented SRA of the European Smart Systems Integration Ecosystem
The "Augmented Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) of the European Smart Systems Integration Ecosystem" takes as a basis the 2013 version of the EPoSS roadmaps and SRA and the Smart Systems part of the ECSEL MASRIA, and consolidates these with roadmaps and SRAs of European Technology Platforms (ETPs), clusters and other networks. It gathers the links between the EPoSS SRA and other platforms as opportunities to build bridges, and to encourage collaboration. The outcome is an augmented SRA, covering the application and sectoral view, the functional view, and the technological view.

The European Roadmap „Smart Systems for Automated Driving” was edited by the European Technology Platform on Smart Systems Integration (EPoSS).
|Opportunity for SMEs: How to gain access to "smart products"
How can SMEs benefit from modern micro-technologies? How can these systems be manufactured economically in quantities of only some hundreds or thousands? And how can enterprises in one European country gain access to the required know-how only provided in another European country?
|Launch of the European Smart Anything Everywhere (SAE) Initiative
SAE is supporting product and service innovation through digital technologies. Clustered in four projects with a total budget of 25M€, 23 of Europe’s leading competence centres in the components and systems value chain across 11 Member States will start from January 2015 to support 100 user-supplier experiments with 200 SMEs and mid-caps. Currently, Smart Anything Everywhere constitutes projects selected under ICT1 and ICT2 of Work Programme 2014/15. EPoSS is represented in this initiative through the Innovation Action SMARTER-SI: Smarter Access to Manufacturing for Systems Integration

|Andrea Cuomo became new Chairman of the Governing Board of ECSEL Joint Undertaking as of 4 June 2015
Andrea Cuomo is Executive Vice President, Advanced Systems Technology (AST) and Special Projects, and has held this position since January 2012. He also serves as Chairman of the Board at 3Sun, ST’s photovoltaic joint venture with Enel Green Power and Sharp.
|EPoSS / KTN Brokerage Workshop on IoT Large Scale Pilots: Presentations now available
The workshop was held in London, 26 June 2016. The presentations given as well as the technology and partner offers and requests that were on display during the day are available for download on the EPoSS website.
|Website for European Startups launched
Startup Europe has just launched a brand new website, a single-entry-point portal entirely dedicated to European tech startups with the mission of uniting their ecosystems. Startup Europe aims to strengthen the business environment for web and ICT entrepreneurs so that their ideas and business can start and grow in the EU.
|Current cohort of SSI Erasmus Mundus MSc students looking for organisations hosting their master thesis
The Joint International Master in Smart Systems Integration covers all important aspects of Smart Systems Integration. It is conducted over four semesters, where the students spend one semester at each of the three partner universities. The fourth semester is devoted to the master thesis in the framework of an industry project. The students are looking for hosting organisations for the period of April-November 2016. EPoSS members are particularly invited to participate as hosts.
|EuroTraining - Access to training in the areas of smart integrated systems, embedded systems and micro-/nanoelectronics
EuroTraining is an FP7 Coordination and Support Action with the aim of providing a European Training Infrastructure facilitating the provision of high calibre training across Europe.

The event will take place in The Hague, 21-24 September 2015.

The event will take place in Ghent, 22-25 September 2015.
This two day information session is aimed at newcomers to European standardization, as well as those who would like to understand the CEN and CENELEC systems better. It will take place in Brussels, 22-23 September 2015.
