EPoSS, the European Technology on Smart Systems Integration, and the EC funded FP7 Coordination Action IRISS "Implementation of Research and Innovation on Smart Systems Technologies" would like to invite you to the second EPoSS Mirrors and Clusters Workshop on May 29th, 10:00 – 17:00h, at “Eventpassage”, Kantstraße 8, 10623 Berlin.

Last year’s workshop in Stuttgart was all about getting to know you and your activities and experiences on national and regional level. This year, we will go a step further and present to you the new Smart Systems Strategic Research Agenda, help you use and analyze it, and perhaps most importantly, show you how to brief you regional/national funding authorities on it. After all, a Strategic Research Agenda only works if all stakeholders are aware of it and contribute to its goals.

As part of its 2014-2020 Cohesion Policy, the European Commission wants national and regional authorities across Europe to draw up research and innovation strategies for smart specialization (RIS3), so that the EU’s Structural Funds can be used more efficiently and synergies between different EU, national and regional policies, as well as public and private investments, can be increased.

We will help you with the interpretation of the Smart Systems SRA, so that you can adapt it to your own regional or national reality and develop your regional/national Research Agenda. We will also provide you with a take-away presentation kit which will be useful when you request support for this regional/national SRA from your local administration. It will help you to get the Smart Systems objectives that matter to you and your members on the funding agenda.

Please register for the workshop by May 17th by sending an e-mail to mailto:CMerveille@ikerlan.es and maito:petra.weiler@vdivde-it.de. We will send you further detailed information about location and time of the event. Participation will be free of charge as this activity is supported by the FP7 Coordination Action IRISS.
