This year, the 4th workshop in the series returns once more to Athens, Greece and will be held on September 7-8, 2011 as a satellite event of the EUROSENSORS XXV  conference.

Since 2000, the International Workshop on Multianalyte Biosensing Devices has aimed at providing an excellent framework for the presentation of new trends and developments in the multidisciplinary field of multianalyte devices including biosensors, biochips and bioanalytical microsystems. The workshop’s main incentive is to bring together researchers from the field –be it from academia or the industry- in order to present their results, exchange ideas and encourage collaborations for joint research projects.

4th Workshop on Multianalyte Biosensor Devices

Topics

The topics to be covered during the workshop include – but are not restricted to:

  • Current trends and developments in the field of multianalyte biosensing devices including protein, DNA and cell-based sensors and arrays, lab-on-chips, innovative components for micro- total analysis systems (μTAS), etc.
  • Novel signal transduction mechanisms for improved performance, lower limits of detection and higher resolution.
  • Application of multianalyte devices in environmental, biomedical and pharmaceutical analysis.
  • Recent advances in cross-cutting enabling technologies spanning from micro- and optoelectronics to the microsystems and lab-on-a-chip areas, including packaging issues, microfluidics as well as readout electronics

Updated information about the workshop can be found at www.iwmbd4-2011.org

Abstract submission

The abstract submission guidelines can be found at the workshop’s site

The deadline for submission of abstracts has been extended to May 31st, 2011.
