The EPoSS chairman Dr. Klaus Schmanietz represented EPoSS in a roundtable discussion at the RFID Conference: Towards the Internet of Things, held in Berlin on June 25. and 26.

The conference "RFID: Towards the Internet of Things" aimed at defining new strategic processes, relate existing activities and concepts that make RFID technology useful and transfer it to a consistent European strategy that contains distinctive objectives for the conduction and implementation of a political roadmap. Organised by the German Ministry of Economics and Technology in cooperation with the German Ministry of Education and Research and the European Commission, the conference will refer existing initiatives dealing with RFID, in order to shift the process to a new political level and to initiate a common strategy.
