Invitation to the special session in the International Conference on Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation - ETFA 2008

The main topics of this session will be centered on:

• Systems and methodologies for objects tracking and tracing.
• Methodologies for assessing the impact of RFID deployment.
• RFID integration with sensor networks (especially WSN) and WiFi technologies.
• The role of AUTO-ID technologies in the automation of existing processes and the introduction of novel ones.
• Web-services, middleware and service-oriented architectures for RFID deployment.
• Interoperability and scalability, including standardisation issues.
