The ICT Proposers' Day was held in Budapest, Hungary, on 22 January 2009. The focus was on mobilising key research actors and firms from all over Europe and from third countries, in particular from neighbouring regions, to collaborate and establish partnerships in ICT research and development.

The event had two main objectives:

Networking:

  • Meet researchers with similar or complementary research interests.
  • Form project consortia – to participate in the new Work Programme 2009-2010.
  • Follow-up of the ICT Event in Lyon.
Obtaining information:
  • Challenges and objectives of the Work Programme.
  • Instruments, contracts, and rules to participate in the new working programme.
  • Around 100 Commission Officials present.
