The Tyrrhenian Workshop on Digital Communications is each year devoted to a specific theme in the area of digital communications and its applications. This year's edition will be held on 2-4 September 2009 in Pula, Sardinia, Italy and will focus on the “Internet of Things”.
Central issues are: making a full interoperability of such devices possible, enabling their adaptation and autonomous behavior, as well as guaranteeing trust, privacy and security.
Main topics to be addressed are, amongst others:
- Internet of Things infrastructures and applications
- Communication systems and network architectures
- Implementation and integration of smart items
- Network management and scalability
- Business models for emerging Internet of Things
- RFID technology and RFID middleware
- Standardization issues for the Internet of Things
- Location & Tracking through Navigation Sensors
- Electromagnetic aspects related to Internet of Things
- RFID and Sensors antennas for advanced applications
