Micro System Workshop 2008 (MSW), Gothenburg, May 6-7!

Micro System Workshop (MSW) is a meeting place for all those interested in Microsystems technology in Scandinavia. The conference has been held six times since it started in Uppsala, 1994. One of the workshop’s key features is the informal atmosphere where room is provided for discussion and networking. MSW 2008 is organized in Gothenburg by Imego and minST in cooperation with MC2, Chalmers.

As before, the conference will focus on the applications and possibilities of microtechnology. The field will be divided into four areas:

• MEMS
• Bio-MEMS
• Innovation
• Nanotechnology

Prominent experts in these fields have been invited to hold talks on their latest findings and their view of the future.

Poster sessions are planned in connection to the presentations, where students, researchers and companies can present their work in the respective areas.

MSW is intended not only for those working actively in the area, but equally well for those in both industry and academy that have a general interest in MEMS/MST. We are expecting more than half the participants to come from the industry.
