The symposium will also bring the opportunity for companies to showcase various RFID products and applications in a trade show setting. We also hope to have pre-arranged meetings for U.S. and European companies with similar or complimentary RFID products or services to consult, based on their business needs. We believe that this would provide an opportunity for the industry-to-industry cooperation that the TEC envisages.
Participants are also invited to help organizing an International Symposium on the Societal Benefits of RFID. The expression of interest can be sent to: florent.frederix@ec.europa.eu
The symposium day is followed by a second day (September 23, 2008) co-organised by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the European Commission that carries the working title "Transatlantic Workshop on RFID: Strategies for Mitigating Risks to Consumers".
